New Tata Nano 2011 : Upgraded version of TATA NANO

Indian auto major, Tata’s Nano 1 lakh car (cheapest car in the world) was unable to draw the sales figures as estimated by the company so the Tata Motors is prepared to launch a new upgraded version of its much famous model Nano, identified as Tata Nano Plus to advance the sales of the company. The upgraded version of Tata Nano will include a range of improvements that have been added as per the customers' view and the research done in the market. New Tata Nano PLUS will be introduced at some point in 2011 in the Indian market with diversity of features.

With a very high expectation Tata Nano was launched by the automobile giant that the car will persuade the Indian automobile customers with its just Rs. 1 lakh price tag; however the car failed to magnetize those many eye balls because of issues associated to its belated delivery and incidents of fire. Afterwards the company recognized that its customers are prepared to pay more money for better features so it has planned to launch ‘Tata Nano Plus.’

According to the most recent details, the new Nano will consist of a 1000 cc engine for more power as against the older 623 cc engine. It will also have redesigned interiors with much enhanced quality and style including music system, alloy wheels and ABS. Now the company hopes that once again an upgraded version of the vehicle will acquire the interest of the general public, even though at a somewhat expensive price. The new product is being tested currently at the Nano plant located near Ahmedabad in Sanand, Gujarat. A person familiar with the development said, “Test drives for a slightly better version of the small car is on in Sanand. It has stylish interiors and power-steering”.

The November sale of Nano in recent times severely fall to 509 units but now Tata Motors has started spot bookings for Nano Plus is receiving good response from the market. In the related segment the new Tata Nano Plus will compete with cars such as Chevrolet Spark and Maruti Alto. This new car has the adjustable seat as well as soon firm launch Diesel variant of Nano as per two close to the company. A spokesman said, “It is Tata Motors’ practice to continuously add new features to its cars. As and when any feature is added, we will make necessary announcements”.

The 2010 Business Standard Motoring Indian car of the year Award, 2010 Bloomberg UTV-Autocar car of the year Award and 2010 Edison Awards are won by Tata Nano. Tata has not officially revealed yet details regarding price, full features and specifications of the new model; stay tuned here as it will be provided as soon as the company announces.
